Amanda’s on hospice waiting for a donor and needs help!

Hi I’m Jackie and I work in addiction recovery in Worcester Ma. I am raising money for Amanda Sexton. She is currently on hospice at 35 years old. She has cirrhosis of the liver. She is praying for a liver as she waits on a donor list but is struggling at Boston Medical Center.

Amanda has had a hard life to say the least. Her mother, father, and sister are deceased. She is in recovery from drugs and alcohol. In 2023 she graduated a women’s halfway house and received a reunification letter from DCF for her daughter. In active addiction we are hard on our bodies, and don’t seek proper medical attention. Not taking care of ourselves, sometimes the damage is too much.

A survivor of domestic violence, and sexual exploitation. Amanda is one of the strongest women I know. She said to her doctor “if you tell me I have a 1% chance it’s something, I can get through this”.

Her medical team is not as optimistic. Amanda has no one except a boyfriend struggling with his own sobriety. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Her $55 phone bill is due and she doesn’t want to be shut off from the world. Her wishes are to be cremated and her ashes spread in a beautiful place. Anything helps❤️
