Amarea is Forever in Our Hearts
Three weeks before Amarea Ware was set to graduate from Old Dominion University in Norfolk VA and commissioned into the United States army as an infantry officer, her life was cut short due to domestic violence. On Thursday, April 9, 2020, Amarea’s life abruptly ended when she was murdered at the hands of her boyfriend. When officers arrived to Amarea’s home, she was found to have suffered 6 gun-shot wounds. Her boyfriend shot himself once in a murder-suicide.
Amarea Rashon Ware was born on July 26th, 1996 in Baltimore MD to the union of James Edward “Eddie” Ware and Chandra Ann Ware (née Easley). Amarea was a very loving, and caring person who wanted to change the world for the better. She was passionate, earnest, and sincere about doing her best toward achieving everything she aimed to do, as well as giving her all in the many caring things she did for others.
Our family often called her “Our Rock Star”, because of her energy, her drive, her courage, her strength, her artistry, her creativity, her beauty, her compassion, and for the tremendous joy she brought into our lives.
One of Amarea’s lifelong dreams was to teach music to unprivileged and underserved children who aspire to become musicians. To honor and fulfill her dream, we established the Amarea R. Ware Memorial Foundation (AWMF) to serve that worthwhile cause. Please contribute to honor Amarea and for her dream to continue to live on.
The AWMF is our way of saying “Thank You Amarea” for enriching and brightening our lives with your presence and your love, for having touched, encouraged, inspired, and uplifted so many others’ lives along your way.
