Amarillo Texas Homeless

Donation protected
Hi! My name is Bryce Livingston and I am asking for donations to create t-shirts that spread awareness about the less fortunate in our city. When I was nineteen, me and my girlfriend Addyson saw a little secluded area in a bad part of town. In this area, there were dozens of tents with homeless people living in them. At first, we didn't really think twice about it, but as the days went on, we kept seeing them, and we started talking. We discussed how we wanted to one day just show up and bring snacks, waters, etc so we did. We brought a big case of jello, and some cheap fruit drinks. When we arrived, we were a little worried about how these people might react. Would they think we were just a couple of dumb kids? Would they just think that we were there because we felt sorry for them? We had no idea. But as we started walking around the area, we started handing snacks out, and our drinks. To our surprise, these people were so excited to just eat some jello and have a nice sugary drink. They were so grateful for something that only had cost us $20. As weeks went on, we had continued to do this for about once a week. We started developing relationships with the homeless people, and they were always so excited to see us as the days went on. We learned how they tried to keep drugs out of their little community. We also learned how a lot of them made their money. These group of people would always be taking parts from old, run down bicycles, and would build them back together to sell. They were talented and driven people. One individual really liked to create art, and create masks that looked really hard to make. Some of them loved music and would play instruments. Each of these people had stories to tell and people that they loved. They cared about each other and looked out for one another. We learned their names, and they knew ours. These people were some of the kindest, most caring and genuine people I have ever met in my life. Awhile back, the city of Amarillo Texas kicked them off of their land that was privately owned by a woman who lives here. She rented a plot of land so that these people would have somewhere to stay, and she would always be out making sure they were not being harassed by our police. The city kicked them off of the land and fined the owner of the land thousands of dollars every single day that they were there. They said that they violated a "camping outside for more than three days" law which is a criminal offense in our city. The people have nowhere to go and have spread out away from their community. The city of Amarillo turned their back on them which is why I want to change their lives. I want to raise money to create t-shirts that remind people to spread love for the less fortunate. They are people and they have stories just like you and I. We are all different, but in the end, we are all only human. All of the money I raise will be spent to create these t-shirts to sell. Every single dollar I make will be used to buy things like soaps, deodorant, food, blankets, etc. for these people. If you can, please donate anything to help my cause. All of the leftover money I have left after making the shirts will also be used for these supplies. So please, take the time to think about the less fortunate. Donate anything you like, every single penny helps. Let's change some lives, and spread awareness. If you can't donate, share the link with your friends and family. I am grateful for every single penny, and it will be for a great cause. Thank you!
