YOUNG DAD, JAMES ‘MANNY’ WARD, FIGHT BRAIN CANCER

Earlier this year, our brother James Ward, known to many of you as Manny, began experiencing headaches that became concerning to him. His doctor ordered some tests, and within hours, he was admitted to the hospital and told that he had a cancerous lesion on his brain, which had originated in his lung. In just moments, he and his wife, Yessenia, saw their lives change in the blink of an eye. This felt especially devastating because Manny’s son, Trey, is just 5 years old. They are the absolute light of each other’s life and truly best friends.

Immediately upon diagnosis, he began a treatment plan that included 10 sessions of radiation, and is now in the midst of his first treatment cycle of chemotherapy. Manny has always prided himself in being a provider for his family, however, the effects of chemotherapy have been debilitating, and have made it impossible for Manny to continue working. The road ahead is hard enough, and the loss of an entire income to the family makes it even harder.
