Help Samantha get to the National Miss Amazing Pageant!
Samantha was born in 1994 with Spina Bifida, a neural tube defect. She had her first surgery when she was just 1 day old. Since then she’s had several more surgeries, some with truly difficult complications. One surgery put rods in her back to correct her scoliosis and kyphosis, but there were complications and she had a severe reaction to the antibiotics, so the rods were removed. As a result she no longer has any movement in her legs.
Despite these difficulties Samantha has never let her disability get her down!
She is a happy, social girl who loves to be around people. She competes in the Special Olympics in bowling and in track and loves to hang out with her friends and family. She loves swimming and enjoys making crafts and jewelry. She loves animals, especially horses and cats. She’s quite sensitive and also very spiritual, she seems to have a connection with those who have passed on, helping to keep their memories alive in a special way.
Another thing Samantha loves is getting all dressed up!
Last year she competed in the Miss Amazing Utah Pageant for the first time. She absolutely adored getting all dolled up – having her hair and makeup done by professionals was so much fun for her! The interview portion was her favorite part of the pageant.
This year she was very excited to compete in the Miss Amazing Utah Pageant again, and she was honored to receive the title of Junior Miss Amazing Utah!
Samantha has been invited to the National Miss Amazing Pageant this July. We are fundraising to cover her travel expenses, including;
Airfare
Hotel
Van Rental
Pageant Fees,
etc.
Please consider helping us make this a once in a lifetime experience for this very special young lady!
