Amber Davis Memorial Relief Fund

Our dear friend, Richard Davis lost his wife and soul mate on December 12, 2020
In her short life, Amber braved months of dialysis, blood transfusions, needles, and never-ending hospital stays. Amber waited for years for a kidney transplant match, and the call finally came from the hospital.
She received a new kidney on December 6. She seemed to be recovering from her kidney transplant surgery exceptionally well and at long last received the kidney she so desperately needed. Amber and her family spoke now of making plans for a brighter future free from sickness. However, with great sadness, I’m afraid that Amber suffered an unexpected complication and passed away a week after her surgery.
We are all heartbroken by the sudden and unexpected loss of such an authentically beautiful spirit. If you knew her, you loved her. She was the co-owner of Nirvana Comics Knoxville and former owner of the beloved Browncoat Pub and Theatre. Dragon Con enthusiast. Beloved owner of her lovable fur babies, Mina, Rune, Bella, and Gypsy. All rescues! Amber loved animals and even in sickness devoted her time to help rescue organizations.
Her family is understandably in shock and sick with grief. Her husband is left alone to pay funeral expenses and medical costs that will still roll in from Amber’s kidney transplant surgery.
In an effort to relieve some of the stress in this struggle, we are hoping to raise money towards funeral expenses and give our friend some time to heal and grieve without the added stress of more financial worries. Please join us in supporting him with prayers and also by donating what you can to relieve a bit of the emotional and financial struggle.
Many of you can relate to this experience and still haunted by the pain of a loved one lost in tragic circumstances. We are praying very hard for our friend, Richard Davis, and pray that God holds him close during this dark time.
