As you probably know, my sister Amber was diagnosed with Stage 3A, Grade 3 Invasive Ductal Carcinoma in August 2021. She immediately had a double mastectomy, followed by six months of harsh chemo and six weeks of radiation. She was incredibly blessed with help from family, friends, her hometown, her work, and so many churches. We are so grateful for the donations of money, food, and time. Amber was doing great until radiation, when she had to drive two hours every day for the treatment. With gas so expensive, she started falling behind. She had to lower her caseload at work, which hurt her even more. Now with her lymphedema treatment she needs to continue to drive two hours three times a week. Being the single mother of two boys in the home, she’s having a hard time putting her treatment for the lymphedema first, and hasn’t been going to her appointments because of the cost. She helps so many others but has a hard time asking for and accepting help for herself. I know things are hard for all of us right now, but a few dollars could make such a difference in her treatment. Thank you all so much for your continued love and support, you’ll never know how much it means to us.
