Amber Heller

Hi, my name is Emily, and Amber has been a part of my life for over 15 years.

She is an amazing hair stylists as well as server--She is also an amazing friend and daughter.

This year has been tough as her mom was diagnosed with Myelofibrosis (an uncommon type of bone marrow cancer that disrupts your body's normal production of blood cells.) Her mother now requires many treatments and appointments throughout the week (in Kearney as well as UNMC), as well as lots of care at home. She has now moved in with Amber, and Amber is her sole care taker.

Being in the service industry, there is no PTO, no medical leave for her to offset all of the time off needed to care for her mother the way she is. Amber has often times cared for others with no desire of repayment.
