AMBER IS A SURVIVOR

Join us as we come together to help Amber Woolsey BUY A CAR and find STABLE housing. AMBER IS A SURVIVOR. She has triumphed over many setbacks in her life but remains hopeful that the future holds great things.
You will find Amber bouncing between roles in the cafeteria, the doctors’ lounge and the patient food service line. She has been a faithful employee of this hospital for 10 years, in Dietary. She successfully navigates multiple roles for her busy department.
Amber is currently without a CAR to get back and forth to work safely. Not long ago, her faithful 30 year old Honda just couldn’t be repaired. It is tough when she works the late shift and has to walk home alone after midnight. She is focused on saving money for a reliable set of wheels.
When Amber was 14, her beloved Father died of cancer. Not long after his death, her Mother was diagnosed with cancer. Amber’s Mom fought a heroic four year battle with cancer and passed away in 2015. Just three months after losing her Mom, AMBER WAS DIAGNOSED WITH KIDNEY CANCER AT THE AGE OF 22. After two surgeries and a 3 month inpatient hospitalization; Amber is cancer free!!!! Amber credits HCA - Orange Park, in part, for her successful recovery and says she is fortunate to have had wonderful care so close to home. Amber shares, “I come in to work every day and do my best to show my appreciation for all that HCA did to save my life when I had cancer. I will never forget.”
I humbly ask if you can be a part of the solution for Amber? Can you help us reach our goal? Let’s join together and show AMBER what this amazing and loving community can do when a team member is in need of transportation and stable housing - the very foundation of our basic human condition!!!!
THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME AND HELP!!
