Hello,

My name is Amber O’Neil and I started PVDceramics 3 years ago. I teach ceramics to elementary school children at LaPerche Elementary School, I sell my pottery at local artisan events, I provide at home private chef and personal care services to those in need, and I’m a nanny.

Currently I’m working on starting a food truck named “The Soul Kitchen” inspired by my favorite band “The Doors”. I’ll provide local, organic, seasonal, and health forward food to my community with an artistic flare and a fusion based menu. I will involve local artisans in my product branding and supplies as I want to support our local RI farmers and artisans to get our local economy stimulated and nourished.

I recently started working at Nico Bella’s in Providence, RI attached to BZ’s Community bar handling the administrative work and dinner services on the weekend. From time to time I fill in with waitressing and bartend from time to time at both of the above mentioned businesses. I started in January and have been really excited to extend my 15 years of professional expertise in the restaurant industry to this company, as I have fallen in love with the mission at both of these establishments.

I knew taking on the new responsibilities at this restaurant and bar was going to take away my ability to fully commit my self to my own business, but I felt compelled to help them, and I had hoped my sacrifices and dedication would do good for not only their business, but the artist’s community at large in Providence, RI.

On April 9th 2024 a coworker stole my wallet, dumped it out in another random room in the building, and took around $700 cash from me. All of my prescriptions were rummaged through and I am worried my identity is at risk of being stolen as this felon has a recent charge for stealing 11k from a man who rented him out an apartment. I had just cashed a check from my teaching job and had the money with so I could buy school supplies after work for my students. I also intended on reserving upcoming markets to sell my pottery for this spring and summer season.

I have had no luck retrieving the stolen cash from Matthew Nadeau, the man who robbed me while I was working at Nico Bella’s on April 9th 2024. He has an astounding criminal record decorated with multiple thefts, assaults, domestics, larceny, felonies, and substance abuse, etc..

I have escalated the matter to the local police and I have asked my boss to help and support me in handling this situation. No camera footage was captured and it seems as though I’ll have to go about battling this injustice in a very serious legal manner.

My efforts to restore this in ethical travesty has gone ignored and I am incredibly disheartened that I haven’t received the proper care in restoring this injustice. I feel so incredibly disrespected and violated, especially since I have gone above and beyond for Nico Bella’s.

I have wonderful working relationships with my previous employers, and I have a long history of dedicating my self to those I love and providing various charity works throughout my working career.

I am an open hearted, wholesome, loving, hardworking, and loyal human being. I have been compelled throughout my whole life to help all souls in need that cross my path, trying my best (even to my own sacrifice) to build those up around me and provide a safe and loving environment for them to find solace.

To have my character questioned by my boss continuously and disrespected during this injustice, I feel hopeless; as if this disgusting darkness has started to dwindle my light and drive to keep pushing on in the same open hearted manner as I have always tried my best to maintain.

Because of this theft, I am now unable to purchase my full classroom supply list for my spring and fall classes. I’ve become late on my car note and insurance due 4/10/24. My repairs have been halted, my rent now late. Being able to afford our daily basic human necessities at this moment is quickly becoming a struggle.

The cherry on top of the nasty cake was having my car break down a day after the incident occurred, as I ran out of gas on my way home from work. I had made a vet appointment for Friday that I’ll need to miss.. it’s a mess.

Despite my embarrassment, this terrible set back has placed me in a position to throw my pride aside and reach out to this platform as a means for help. I don’t know what else I can do in this situation other than to ask my loving community to consider donating to my recent travesty and hoping the Providence PD has the means to handle this situation with precise investigation.

I would like to offer gratuity to those who can contribute to my crowd funding in the form of hand made custom ceramic pieces. I would love to be able to give back to anyone who can consider helping me during this time of need. I can provide personal ceramics lessons or private chef services. I would really appreciate the opportunity to pay forward these contributions. Anyone who donates please contact me directly through PVDceramics either on instagram or facebook.

Thank you so much for reading through this lengthy story. I hope that I can connect with those who understand my predicament and are able to contribute in which ever way they can.

Peace and love to you all! Happy spring. I am sending the universe at large a major hug right now because I know we are all going through a difficult transition, all considering everything happening in the world right now.

Love over powers hate, and at the end of the day I know that there is nothing stronger than pure love and light.

Thank you so much,

Amber O’Neil
