Amber Schmitz medical fund

In August, my daughter Amber at the age of 22 years old was diagnosed with a rare disease known as osteonecrosis. Osteonecrosis is when the bone in your body dies because of the lack of oxygen in her hips. It is due from taking a prescription steroid medication. At the time of her diagnosed, Amber was enrolled in nursing school. She was working full-time at her job as a CNA for the past seven years. She is unable to continue her journey as a nurse due to this disease. She recently started working out at Orange Theory Fitness at least six days a week. She has lost over fifty pounds and just completed her 100thclass.
On September 5th, Amber had her first hip surgery on her right hip. She is unable to bare weight. She has to use crutches or a wheelchair for many months to come. She is unable to drive or leave the house. After four months, she will have to start physical therapy to gain the muscle back in her leg that she lost. We are hoping this will bring back blood supply in her hip. If it does not work, she will have to undergo double hip surgery. If the surgery is successful, she will have to have surgery on her left hip. Due to this disease, Amber will be out of work for up to a year. Any donations will be used to help pay Amber’s monthly bills and the medical bills that we have received. Please keep Amber in your prayers.
