Amber's Wheelchair Fund

Hi i'm Amber and I am fundraising for an electric wheelchair to help me re-gain my independence after the onset of ME / Chronic Fatigue Syndrome a few years ago.
My illness is long-term, fluctuating and exacerbated by physical and mental activity- this means you might see me with a walking stick one day but this resulting in needing to rest due lots of different symptoms of post-exertional malaise including pain and exhaustion for a few days afterwards.
ME/CFS makes simple tasks like popping to the shop, attending doctors' appointments or visiting friends incredibly difficult and at the moment I am having to spend a huge amount of my money on Ubers around Bristol due to our unreliable buses!
As some of you will remember before I got ill I was very very active and independent and most of my hobbies involved being out and about on my own such as going to gigs, going on long walks and helping to run a huge and very active social/ support group. My ME/CFS symptoms mean I can't do most of these things anymore without lots of help, which has been a huge knock to my self-confidence.
My partner is also long-term unwell and is unable to work at the moment. As well as meaning that our finances are very tight, this also means I need to conserve energy to be able to support him and that he is less able to support me in getting around town.
I was given a manual wheelchair by the NHS to help me with my fluctuating pain and fatigue but I can't self-propel without worsening my ME/CFS symptoms so can't use it without finding someone to push me. Unfortunately the NHS can't give me an electric wheelchair and as my illness means that I can only work 3 days a week I'm trying to fundraise some of the money towards the chair.
I have done extensive research and tested a few chairs and am confident I have found one that will help me regain some of my independence and generally improve my quality of life. Unfortunately this will cost £2700, hence the goal for this fundraiser. I don't expect to manage to raise it all but even £5 from anyone who can afford it who I may have helped out or bought a drink for over the years would make a huge difference!
Thanks so much for taking the time to read this and for any contributions you are able to make :)
