Amber's Golden Lasso Fight

In 2015 i was diagnosed with Breast Cancer stage II. after a bilateral mastecomy, chemo and radiation I was cleared and in remission. I never looked back. I was under going reconstructive surgery to restore what the cancer took from me. i was getting better. Felling normal again.

18 months later, I found lumps in my neck. I got a biopsy schedualed, however before the appointment, i started noticing odd stroke like symtoms. started with my speach, after a few days, i noticed my right eye could not close on its own. I couldn't apply eye make up on my right. shortly after i noticed my right hand was beginning to feel weak too. i couldnt trust myself with a knife to prepare dinner. the following morning after waking up i was still in bed.  decided to make a phone call, but i quickly realized i could not speak at all. hung up the phone and had my 13 year old daughter call 911.

when i got to the hosptial, they noticed the right side of my face was droopy. after a chest x-ray and a head CT they found leisions on my lungs and 3cm bleeding tumor on my left frontal lobe of my brain. they sent me code 3 to the nearest nearuological hostital about 40 miles away.

while there they scanned me 3 more times over the course of 3 days, they determined that the tumor had to come out. it was causing all the symtoms and bleeding. putting pressure on my brain. after the surgery to remove a 2.7cm tumor, they determined that i was metastasis from my pervious breast cancer. meaning i now have stage IV breast cancer, or secondary malignat neoplasm of the brain, also malignant neoplasm of unspecified lung. In other words, the cancer is back, and it back with a vengeance!

I started radiation treatment and about finished with it. i have an mri set up soon and they will tell us if the radiation therapy worked.

what ive learned is that chemo drugs wont work for my brain, because the brain has a natural defence against them. the only way to get chemo in the brain is to physically put it in there surggically. so, they are looking at other options to treat my brain cancer. clinical trials and possible immunotherapy.

im hoping to work with loma linda university medical oncoligy. thats what we waiting for.

in the mean time, the inevitable medical bill are starting to roll in. a few have been covered by my hmo, but im still facing very high co-pays ranging from $30-$300. and i have to pay them often. office fees, speicalists, and scan co-pays.

im hoping to raise money to off set these costs so my family can stay a-float. it is hard set an exact amount of money to raise because the bills tickle in slowly, and the fight is long from being over, what i do know is so far we are needing to raise about $10,000 so far. this will cover the cost off all my accumilated bills, and co-pays so far, as well as, travel costs to loma linda. again its ongoing, and i have hope that we will see this through till the very last trace of cancer is gone.

im 38 years old, i have a husband, and two jr. high age daughters to raise.  i need this cancer to be gone! its messing with my mojo man!!! other donation site, option. please choose friends and family  before you send.
