Urgent Private Ambulance Appeal

Hello, I am Erkin Guney, Chairman of The UK Turkish Islamic Trust, do you want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money in aid of THE UK TURKISH ISLAMIC TRUST (UKTIT) and every donation will help.

The UKTIT has been providing funeral services to the British Turkish community since 1977.

In light of the current COVID-19 pandemic, as you can imagine, we have been inundated with deaths (peace be upon those who have lost their lives).  The Shacklewell Lane mosque in Hackney, where we administer the funerals,  is struggling to cope and we urgently require a new private ambulance vehicle (a specially adapted transit van), so we can continue our efforts of transporting bodies from homes and mortuaries to the mosque.

Our current ambulance is very old and not in great condition, and I am not sure how long they will last. With the rapidly rising number of deceased, we need several vehicles on the road every day to be able to collect all our loved ones quickly and bring them back to the mosque, where we can prepare them for burial.

I am appealing to all those who are able to donate, please do and make a difference.
