A.M.B.U.S.H Veteran Adventures 3 peaks Challenge

Hi, My name is Matthew I'm a Co-Founder of Ambush Veteran Adventures a not-for-profit organisation that encourages ex-military and bluelight personnel to take on challenges and activities as part of a team. This helps with their mental health by combating isolation and loneliness.

We're taking on the national 3 peaks on yhe 8th of march now raising some much needed funds to sustain the organisation and help us improve our services and deliver more activities/challenges/expeditions etc for those still serving veterans & their families.

We assist with any mental health and welfare issues they face during and after service by way of referral to partnering agency's and charity's ensuring the best assitance possible for our service users .

It's a well-known fact that by nature being outdoors in woodland, countryside or on the water stimulates your endorphins creating a feel-good factor combined with Commerarderie and banter added into the mix makes a good tonic to ease the burdens of life outside military and bluelight service.

These men and women have and do train extensively throughout their military and emergency service careers to defend our great nation. Those that leave have difficulties readjusting back into civilian life and we at A.M.B.U.S.H Veteran Adventures hope we can assist by providing a safe outdoor environment to bring back a certain ethic and commeraderie that can be sorely missed.

Any support you can show our team in reaching our target would be gratefully received and stir them on to complete the national 3 peaks challenge in 24 hours summiting Ben Nevis Scafell pike and Mount Snowdon the 3 tallest mountains in Britain an epic challenge to take on just 1 but 3 in one day and travel by minibus in between will be both mentally and physically arduous even for the support teams driving the vehicles looking after injuries and providing sustenance.

We've been very fortunate to have some corporate sponsors come on in support of the A.M.B.U.S.H 3 peaks challenge SB security solutions, TJ transport and Sussex Inns who are all either UK Veterans employers or British forces and blue light supporters and are now part A.M.B.U.S.H VA FREINDS a supporting partner project helping and sustaining the work we do.

Any amount you can spare would help us reach the team targets the price of a coffee or pint in the pub would be amazing, funds will be going toward new equipment such as kayaks Mountain Bikes, walking gear, Bashers and bushcraft tools for wild camping administration and insurance fees. We also hope to be able to purchase atleast 1 handbike so we can take guys out on the ground who may be less able than most to get about in say a more conventional way ie wheelchair prosthetic limbs or walking aids. It all adds up and you can see why it's important for Ambush to raise this amount of money or more.
