Amelia needs surgery ASAP

Hello, my name is Michelle I am asking for help to get my sweet girl surgery asap. About 6 months ago Amelia who is 10 got into the garbage while I was at work (Dad had set the trash down to take to the dumpster and put his afo on in the bedroom this is when Amelia decided the temptation was too much) She started coughing and by the time I got home she was still coughing. We took her to the Vet and they did xrays to check for collapsing trachea due to her cough sounding like a goose and the object was missed in those xrays. We began treatment for collapsing trachea and she would continue to have "flare ups" where her coughing increased. Steroids and antibiotics would help calm those "flare ups" We were traveling over an hour to see the vet who had done her dental, nares and soft palate surgery so she asked if a local vet would do another set of xrays to check on her heart to make sure the steroids weren't making a larger problem than the collapsing trachea and the xrays found what appears to be something similar to a sewing needle along her throat/airway. We are a household of 3 disabled people who do the best we can with me able to work a part-time job with all of the dr appointments and now Vet appointments more than taking up any extra cash I am able to make. Currently, both part-time jobs allow me to work as many hours as possible, but it isn't happening quickly enough, I am afraid. I am calling Monday as soon as they open to see if we can get in sooner than the 21st for the consult which is already paid for. The estimate for the surgery at DSVC is between 2500 and 3500. I can provide that information if you'd rather pay them directly. My son is trying to help as well as I am trying to sell items to make this happen sooner. My next step is to give her up to a rescue to get her immediate help but that will destroy the 3 of us as we love her and her sister so very much. But to get her help I will do anything.
