Amelia's Brain Tumor Journey

Hi, my name is Amelia Wood. I’m 25 and I work with at-risk youth at a therapeutic wilderness program. On March 28th, 2018 I was diagnosed with a 16 mm brain tumor on my pituitary gland. When the doctor informed me, he told me that it was close to my optic nerve and could affect my sight  if I don’t get it removed. Thankfully, it’s benign, but this shocking news changed my life in an immediate way. I’ve had to make changes at work, school, and I have no family living nearby.

I need your support! Right now, I am trying to raise 2,000$ to pay for much needed testing and hormone therapy drugs. I will probably need surgery to have it removed, so the more money I raise the better! With your help I hope to make a swift recovery, continue to work in the mental health field, and go back to school for Psychology.  I appreciate your support and will keep you guys updated on my recovery!
