1 Americans Effort In Wuhan,China 2 Stop The Tears

I’m Travis, an American that gave up his only seat Home...on the last plane out, of Wuhan, China. A new virus (Coronavirus) threat, affecting millions here and now many more everywhere. Infecting and killing in a way, more deadly than SARS or the flu, with no cure as of yet. Trapped inside a travel ban, larger than the world has ever seen. I sit and say what I dare, so that you know and are aware. Everyday, I see the tears, hear the sadness of despair, and watch and cry for the ones that die. Age and body condition, is not a factor as earlier predicted. It does not care who it enters. Two doctors in their mid 20’s just passed and children as young as 18-24 months are in critical condition, very well possibly, no longer here. Wuhan, is now a place, quite and surreal. As if you are a lone actor in a horror film. Stores are all closed and the streets bare. No one can go out now, it’s forbidden and against the law. Tens of millions of people hide within their homes, afraid to touch, breath, or even see one another. Once a bustling city full of college kids and people, smiles and happiness, from ear to ear. Now just sadness and only tears. I try each day to be positive and productive. To keep those around me safe. Food is harder to get...I’m blessed my only neighbor helped out, but he can’t do it again. 90% or more of the families here, don’t have money coming in. Many kids, left alone...People have disappeared. Today I want to try and help, stop some of those tears...It is my purpose and reason, for being here Families that have lost the bread maker, kids that suddenly have no mom or dad, and those that are hungry or scared. My plan is to find them and help and with your support I can :) I knew from day 1, this was going to be more serious and devastating than was being reported. That’s why I stayed... The plane call offer, by the US Embassy was the Hardest “No” I’ve ever had to say :((( No matter what anyone says, I know I made the right choice...To Stay. If you can and it won’t hurt you monetarily... Please help me, Help those in need...Today. Xie xie hao wo de hao peng you. Qin qin bao bao ju gao gao! Thank you, my good friend... Kisses Hugs, toss you in the air! *All Donations will be given to those in need (Food, Medical, Housing, and Other). Don’t expect it to be easy or funds quickly dispersed. Even after the ban is lifted, there will be economic, physical and emotional tragedies still here...Maybe even more than now. This is a total lockdown and only a few are allowed out (Government Officials, Food Delivery, and Hospital Volunteers.) I have some friends who are volunteering inside of a quarantine center near me. I have other chinese friends that can help me search for those in need. I also have one American (A Marine) friend, that stayed like I did, because of his family here (They are next to a quarantine center and scared to death). He will also help me find those in need, whatever that need might be. FYI: One hour ago, management sent a message saying two people, with families, just tested positive for the virus. (Not a good feeling...I pray for them!). They are in the building next to mine :( I will try to see tomorrow, if any special needs are needed there. At the moment, this isn’t as if I’m living in America, driving to a store and picking out items to buy and deliver. This is a surreal environment, lockdown, panic, paranoia and people doing the best they can to survive. I will do the best I can...As I can, to Help.
