American Legion Post 142
Donation protected
Sterling McClellan American Legion Post 142 needs your help. American Legion Post 142’s property was donated by 1st Lt. George Sterling McClellan’s family and commissioned in 1946 as an American Legion. Lt. McClellan, US Army Air Corps, gave his life in service during World War II, and the Post has since honored his legacy by continuously serving American veterans in and about Pompano Beach and Broward County as a safe social harbor for veteran members, their families, and guests as well as providing a variety of community service and outreach programs and activities. While our Post members have contributed over the years to sustaining the Post’s home, we are currently facing hardship in raising money to cover the expense of a much-needed new roof.
Our Post is requesting our community’s support in contributions through this GoFundMe that will 100% be dedicated to our roof replacement costs. Post 142 is currently home to our members of the American Legion, the Sons of the American Legion, the American Legion Riders, the American Legion Auxiliary, the Disabled American Veterans Gold Coast Chapter 133, the Marine Corps League Detachment 1058, a Boy Scout Troop, and a Cub Scout Troop. Our Post is open daily throughout the year, boasting an affordable Cantina, daily games, and entertainment. We offer special holiday events and meals, open to the community, in keeping with the Mission and Values of the American Legion. We welcome any size donation and thank you in advance for your consideration, big or small. May God continue to bless our Country, our active-duty service men and women, our Veterans, and you!
