American Legion Post 267

For 100 Years the American Legion Charles N. Skellenger Post 267 has been a prominent member of the Davison Community.  As a Post we are dedicated to helping local veterans and their families in times of need.   All our major fundraisers have been canceled due to the Covid 19 Pandemic.   We have been unable to rent our hall for family weddings or hold funeral dinners.  These events are essential to the upkeep of our Post.  The biggest casualty was losing our weekly rental to the Poker Fundraisers that benefit us as well as many area charities.  

This significant loss of revenue along with the fundraising casualties, leaves us with a problem. We are currently at a point where we are unable to meet the most urgent needs of our veterans.  We will soon be unable to pay the bills of maintaining our post and all that it has stood for these past 100 years.  At this point we have no money to help our veterans and will be unable to provide the scholarships to DHS Seniors for their college education, the American Legion Boys and Girls State of Michigan, sponsorship of a candidate to MSP Trooper School, the Salvation Army Angel Tree program and Outreach East’s Christmas time collection.
