American Materials Company Relief
Donation protected
More than a week after Hurricane Florence crashed into the Carolinas, residents are still trying to clean up and get back to their jobs. The slow-moving storm dumped heavy rain on already saturated land. All that water is still causing problems for communities on the coast, and inland areas, with road closures and life-threatening flooding as rivers continue to rise.
Our American Materials Company (AMC) family has been greatly impacted with many employees having to be evacuated prior to and during the storm. Even as our coastal locations try to get operational after the emergency shut down, many of our employees are dealing with the disaster at their own homes. Trees are down everywhere and need to be cleared. Homes have been flooded from either rising ground waters or through leaks in the roof or broken windows. Power outages have spoiled food and destroyed appliances. Unplanned expenses for emergency evacuation accommodations and loss of work are just some of the hardships our AMC team has had to face. At least five AMC employees have experienced significant water damage to their homes and property.
Many have asked, “How can I help?” Although there are many charities on the ground assisting in the area, you can be assured that the funds raised through this campaign will go directly to those in the American Materials Co. family that have been identified as in need.
We thank you for any amount you can contribute. Please share this link widely on your own social media platforms so that we can meet our fundraising goals for those AMC employees most affected by Hurricane Florence.
Please note that donations are not tax deductible.
