Watch the interview with Peter Jannuzzi and learn why he created the video.
Hello and thanks for visiting. My name is Peter Jannuzzi. I am a pediatrician and veteran who served from 1982-1991 in the US Army Medical Corps. My status as a veteran is really by definition only. My service in no way compares to those who had to endure warfare. I am trying to raise money to help veterans who served in any conflict by helping to support the OASIS center at Tunxis Community College in Farmington, CT. OASIS stands for Operation Academic Support for Incoming Service Members. The center not only provides academic support but acts as a haven for soldiers. The acronym is an apt description. While there, the vets can relax, eat and talk about whatever is on their minds, knowing they will have sympathetic ears to listen to them. We hope to raise enough to help with mental health services over and above what the VA system provides. Unfortunately, the VA is not always adequate and restricts where soldiers can get their care and medications. The center, like many such groups, is underfunded and dependent on charitable donations. If you are at this site to donate, we sincerely thank you for watching our video and making a contribution. We assure you it will be put to good use. If very successful we have the ability to share money with other veteran support groups. Your donation is tax deductible and all of it goes to an account for their support.
The video is by Tom Mazzarella of Mazarella Media. The song was written by Peter Jannuzzi and produced and recorded by Jim Chapdelaine.
Our Sincere Gratitude,
Peter Jannuzzi and Tom Mazzarella
