Amesbury Millyard Guidebook

Ever wondered what happened inside all those looming mill buildings lining our downtown streets? Did you know factories in Amesbury, Massachusetts produced nails, silverware, textiles, hats and even peanut butter? The Amesbury Carriage Museum wants to share the story of the hundreds of people who lived in Amesbury and worked in these buildings.

With the help of educators and volunteers we will produce a history of the buildings oriented as a walking tour through town. To reach the broadest range of users we will print the guide and publish it online for free. We are also excited to incorporate our research into school programs and storefront and gallery exhibits.

The Museum is grateful to have received partial support for the mill yard guide from the Society for Industrial Archaeology - but we need an additional $1750 to complete the project. Can you help?
