Help Ciera's AMFM Dreams a Reality

My name is Ciera Mckissick, and some of you may know me as that girl that does AMFM, amfmmag, The Jazz Series, dope events, or all the things. AMFM is a web brand for artists, creatives and the people, and we offer a platform for emerging and established artists to showcase their work through our site and events. Although I often say "we" when talking about AMFM, it is because I wear many hats, literally and figuratively, and a lot of my work with AMFM has been solo, but with the gracious support of my friends and collaborators. I have a hard time asking for help (super woman complex...) but I have come to you all now to help bring my AMFM dreams and goals to fruition.
Since moving to Chicago almost a little over 2 years ago, it has been my dream to operate my own space and create a hub for creatives to showcase their talent on our walls, on our stages, or through programming. I have been shopping around for spaces in Pilsen after losing my unofficial homebase with Cultura in Pilsen, with no luck, until, the one day when I decide to walk instead of bike, I stumbled upon the most amazing live/ work space I could ask for when I least suspected it. How kismet right? I find myself at a stand still because in order to secure the space I need the seed money to get it before my chance is gone! And I need it FAST because this deal is too good to be true and someone with funds will surely snatch it up. I am asking for help with the downpayment of first and last months rent, plus some moving costs and utilties to start.
Because Pilsen is undergoing a change right now, and gentrification is slowly shifting the area, it is a hot area right now for people looking to get their hands on some prime real estate. I am not just looking for real estate. It was the first neighborhood I spent time in, I live here, I know my neighbors, and I am looking to build community through the arts. I do most of my work in Pilsen because of the vibrant art, culture, community, and working class citizens I am surrouned and inspired by.
AMFM has become so much more than it's magazine beginnings when I started it back in college. I have high visions and dreams for where I would like to see AMFM blossom not only for myself, but for the creative communities I support. I hope you will help support me reach these heights!
In exchange for your support I can offer:
$0-50 donation: A Thank You Card & of course I'll throw a big THANK YOU party, and y'all know I know how to throw a party.
$50-100 donation: AMFM T-shirt and some art swag
$100 donation: Free entry to a select number of future AMFM events for the year.
$200: Host an event at the space for free
Anything higher and you will have my undying gratitude. Hell I'd even make a plaque or a mural with your name on it. We can talk about it!
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
