Amigos Alados Fundraiser for School Year 24 - 25
Tax deductible
Want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money to benefit Amigos Alados , which is fiscally sponsored by Environment for the Americas. Amigos Alados is an international pen pal program that brings students in the western United States, Canada, and Mexico together in the study of migratory birds that we share. More than 1,320 students in grades 1 through 6 are participating in the program during the 23 - 24 school year. Over the 17 years we have been working, we have served over 10,400 students.
I have always worked as a volunteer, but your donations help to pay for teacher manuals, the printing of pen pal photos and educational materials, Ornithologist-for-a-Day backpacks, the sending of letters and photos by DHL and the US Postal Service, a children's birding and nature festival in Point Reyes Station, and the salary of our Co-Director/Project Coordinator in Mexico, Faby Favela, as well as the rent for her office.
Any donation from $5 to $5,000 will make an impact. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause, which means so much to me.
Our fiscal sponsor, Environment for the Americas , works to connect diverse people to bird conservation across the Western Hemisphere through education, outreach and research. Their keystone education program, World Migratory Bird Day, reaches over 700 communities and provides conservation education materials in English and Spanish, including to an annual children's birding and nature festival co-sponsored by Amigos Alados and the Environmental Action Committee of West Marin.
