Amigos School 8th Grade Overnight Trip Fundraiser

This fundraising page is to support the 8th grade class of the Amigos School in Cambridge, MA. From May 29-31, the 8th graders will have a unique opportunity to escape their city surroundings to participate in a 3-day overnight trip in the wilderness of New Hampshire at Kroka Expeditions - an expedition school based on a year-round, organic farm.
“Challenging and enriching, Kroka school programs strengthen the class community and bring learning alive. Working closely with our school partners and the land, we create unique wilderness journeys that integrate expedition travel, community service, farming, crafts, and experiential academic discovery. This is not your typical field trip: we embrace risk, we welcome discomfort, and we shed the layers between ourselves and the natural world. Students return with newfound confidence and a new light in which to view themselves, their classmates, and their unique role in the world.
In order to make this trip happen, the students must fundraise the entire cost of the trip and need family support to get them there!
During the month of November, the hope is that every family contributes something based on their means, whether it is $1, or $10, or $100, or $1000. The amount is entirely up to you, and a contribution is not required for your student to go on the trip. You might consider the cost to send one student on the trip ($487), a portion of a student ($50), two students ($1,000) or some other amount. Your contribution will be applied to the overall cost of sending the entire 8th grade class to Kroka, not to a specific student.

Para poder concretar este viaje, los estudiantes deben recaudar fondos para cubrir el costo total del viaje. Y es por ello que necesitan el apoyo de sus familias.
Por favor considere contribuir durante el mes de Noviembre. Lo ideal es que cada familia contribuya con algo de acuerdo a los recursos que posee, desde $1, $10, $100 hasta $1,000 o más. El monto a contribuir es una decisión personal/familiar y contribuir no es obligatorio o un requisito para que su estudiante participe del viaje. Las contribuciones serán asignadas al fondo general del viaje a Kroka, y no asignadas específicamente a uno o varios estudiantes.
