Amir Locke Memorial Fund

Fears surrounding potential encounters with police were horrifically validated when Minneapolis Police shot and killed 22 year old Amir Locke in the early morning hours on February 2nd while executing a no knock warrant. The family is devastated as they will no longer be able to feel his beautiful spirit, hear his laugh or wrap their arms around him in a loving embrace.

 

100% of the funds raised here will go to the family of Amir Locke and will be used to cover funeral and burial expenses, mental health and grief counseling as well as help Amir’s family in their fight for justice, and provide support for family.

 

A road traveled by others before, we will stand with the family in pursuit of accountability and justice. Amir’s name will not be forgotten. The officers and agencies involved must be held responsible.

Who am I? I am a trusted friend of the family.  This fundraiser has now been transferred over to Amir's mother Karen.

 

How much of my donations go to the family? 100% of the funds raised here go directly to the family and are transferred to an account designated by Andre Locke and Karen Wells the parents of Amir Locke. Those funds will be managed and spent at their discretion and they will maintain 100% ownership of these funds.
