Amish Cooling Cradle Fundraiser

In honor of our two babies born sleeping (Lydia Joy at 38 weeks on April 5, 2016, and Isaac Stephen at 21 weeks on December 16, 2021), we are raising funds to purchase a Cenotaph's Amish Cooling Cradle for the hospital where we delivered both our precious babies.

 

A cooling cradle is a temperature-controlled bassinet that allows parents to keep their babies with them in the hospital for as long as needed. This cradle will help provide a comfortable atmosphere that allows parents to bond, hold, take pictures, make handprints and footprints, create memories, and invite other family members and friends to spend time with their baby. The baby is able to spend the entire time with the parents while they are in the hospital. For parents who have lost a baby, this is an incredibly sacred time and the only time parents will have to be with their baby before they have to say goodbye.

 

We treasured all the time we had with both Lydia and Isaac. In honor of their memory, we want to provide something that will help make things a little easier for other parents who, unfortunately, will have to say goodbye to their baby too soon. Many people have asked how they can help us, and we would be honored and humbled if you would join us in providing this wonderful gift for other parents who will need it.
