Help me beat cancer

Hi, my name is Melissa and I'm a single mom. I am trying to raise funds for myself and my family to help me get through these next few months.

I have been feeling ill for several months and have been fiercely advocating for myself trying to get my doctor to listen to me, and correctly find why I've been so ill. We've run so many tests. They never had any answers for me.

On Valentines Day I drove myself to the E.R. to wait for hours only to be told its really bad and I have a mass on my ovary and a blood clot on my lung. I found out yesterday I have Stage 3c ovarian cancer.

I am a fighter and I will give it my all to see my 15 year old daughter grow up and enjoy many more years with her. But I have had to use almost all my vacation time to get through these last few months and I have no sick leave because I had to recover from getting a full hip replacement.

I will need to keep working as much as I can while I battle this journey, but once I start chemo and have the actual surgery, I will need to take time off.
