"Hi, and thank you for taking the time to learn about 'FREAKquency Noir.' My name is Azrael Joseph. I'm a multidisciplinary visual artist and go by the artist moniker of ADilllaTheGENIUS. I am the writer and creator of this unique and avant-garde musical production and music multimedia platform focusing on amplifying progressive and experimental Black and African LGBTQ+ musicians from around the world who are underrepresented and already in the spotlight through documentary, docuseries, web series, podcasts, and live stream. FREAKquency Noir chronicles the revolutionary influence of Black and African LGBTQ+ creatives who are pushing the boundaries of music, culture, and identity.
The Vision:
'FREAKquency Noir' is more than just documentaries, docuseries, web series, podcasts, and live streams—it's an uprising. This is the first of its kind to exclusively spotlight the artistry and resilience of marginalized progressive and experimental Black and African LGBTQ+ musicians. By showcasing their narratives, sounds, and the way they thrive against adversity, FREAKquency Noir hopes to promote greater visibility, understanding, and inclusivity."
Why Now:
"At a time when representation matters more than ever, 'FREAKquency Noir' reflects the current reality of our world. FREAKquency Noir highlights the creativity and struggles of individuals who have often been overlooked or misrepresented. It aims to break down stereotypes, challenge societal norms, and celebrate the diversity of experiences within the Black and African LGBTQ+ communities.
Media shapes societal attitudes, and with 'FREAKquency Noir,' the initiative is to inspire empathy, understanding, and pride by showing real stories from our diverse innovators. This project has the potential to change perceptions, foster belonging, and give a platform to artists whose voices deserve to be heard."
The Need for Funding:
"FREAKquency Noir is seeking funding to bring this vision to life, covering essential costs such as production, equipment, travel, editing, and post-production. These resources will ensure that we can authentically tell the stories of these pioneering artists and produce a high-quality film that does justice to their contributions to the music world.
Your support will not only help in the creation of this project to life but also in amplifying the voices of an often marginalized community. You are helping to make space for a new creative renaissance that honors the rich contributions of Black and African LGBTQ+ artists."
Call to Action:
"I invite you to get involved and join FREAKquency Noir in this journey. Any amount, big or small, will make a difference in bringing 'FREAKquency Noir' to fruition. Let's create a world that excludes no one and celebrates the power of authentic and diverse creative expression. Thank you for your support and belief in FREAKquency Noir."
