Amputee boxing for SMRC & PCBC
Donation protected
My name is Bradley North. On the 21st May I am competing in a boxing match with another UK above knee amputee to raise money for Penwortham Community Boxing Club and The Specialist Mobility Rehabilitation Centre in Preston. This is the first sport I have competed in since the age of 11.
I decided to have my leg amputated in 2018 due to complications from a previous bone cancer. I want to give back to a centre that has provided so much for me over the past 4 years from physio to my leg fittings and dressing changes to physiological support. The Specialist Mobility Rehabilitation Centre in Preston has been there for me all the way.
Additionally, I want to give to a community gym and man that believed in me when a lot of other didn’t. I have always loved boxing and have been going to Penwortham boxing club for nearly 2 years. When I started I was worried no one would want to get in the ring with a disabled man. I now feel I am at good level and ready to compete. The gym desperately needs facilities that I would like to help raise money for.
Any donations will be split 50/50 between these 2 magnificent trusts that soley exist to help their communities.
Any donations are appreciated. Thank you!
