Amputee infection survivor

Hi my name is Rianne Coleen Herbert. I am 27, almost 28 years old type 1 diabetic transgender woman.

I have recently become very, very unwell with my health from working way too hard which unfortunately had made me hospitalised, fighting diabetic ketoacidosis. This has caused me to suffer with an awful infection in the bone of my foot that has worsened & because of a past Injury in the same area a few years ago has caused me to have a terrible infection in the

bone, in result of this I have had to have my big toe amputated and a small amount of my foot removed for my own safety to reduce all infection found inside me. By doing this I am now off my feet & out of action for a good few months now, maybe a little longer depending on my rehabilitation. I am mainly a self employed hairdresser which now has caused me to make no money/income. In result of this I am now struggling how I’m going to pay rent, household bills & just living in general. It’s in the back of my mind constantly, it’s something I can’t stop worrying or crying about. I know I am no one’s responsibility & I would never normally ask anyone for help like this, if you’re one of my friends you know I am very stubborn and would never normally ask for help, but I truly don’t know what to do & I feel like my options are running out. I know times are hard for people and it’s an even worse time of year for everyone in general also. I am writing if ANYONE, my friends, my family, my clients, strangers, anyone who has anything to spare if they could find it in their heart to help me get through this as much as possible, I would be eternally grateful. I need to now spend the next few months recovering, getting myself well & better and rehabilitating my foot so I can become strong and well again to get back to doing what I love most and that’s hair, making people beautiful & happy & just getting my life back to normal. I know a lot of people won’t have anything to help with and I truly understand, but even just sharing my post, sharing, sharing, sharing would truly help my cause so much. I don’t want to be anyone’s charity, nor do I want to be seen as one, I just want to be seen as a person, a human being that has never asked for help before & truly needs it right now.
