Amram’s Stroke Recovery Fund
Donation protected
Hi everyone - first, thank you for taking the time to read this and for your consideration in donating to help our father.
On Friday June 10, 2022, our father Amram Ouknine suffered a massive stroke that caused a blood clot in his brain. When arriving at the hospital, the doctors could not operate to remove it and he was given 4 hours to live. The doctors gave him a 3% chance of survival, and they were certain he would not wake up. They also said that if he does survive, he will never know how to talk, eat, or walk on his own ever again. Every second at that point was a miracle.
On June 18, with gratitude to Hashem, he opened his eyes. The swelling and blood clot in his brain still hadn’t gone down that much, but we kept praying and hoping for more miracles. A week and a half later, he started speaking and recognized who we were, going against everything the doctors have seen in the past. On August 8, he got admitted to a rehabilitation hospital to start bringing him out of this critical state.
Today, we are raising funds for him, with our main goal of getting him strong enough to become as independent as possible. Unfortunately, he will need full time care and rehabilitation for an undefined amount of time, just to get back to a reasonable way of living. Beyond that, he won’t be able to work, possibly for the rest of his life. We thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts, for praying, donating, sharing, and providing us unconditional support. We are very grateful for all of our friends and family, who have helped us pray for this miracle, and we continue to thank Hashem everyday for giving our father the strength to continue fighting.
It would mean the world to us if you can continue to keep him in your prayers- Amram Ben Yolanda Chana
We thank you all,
