Stand with the Marks Family in their Time of Need

Donation protected
On May 30th, Reverend Scott Marks and his wife, former Alder Jill Marks, along with their family, narrowly escaped a devastating fire at their home on Ellsworth Avenue. This house holds special meaning for them as it's where Jill cares for her beloved mother and where their many children and grandchildren, friends, and other family gather.

Although thankfully no one was seriously injured, the fire caused extensive damage to their home, leaving them without many of their belongings. Now, they're faced with the daunting task of rebuilding their lives, with immediate financial pressures and numerous challenges ahead.

The Marks family's dedication to serving their community is well-known. Jill has been tireless in her efforts in Beaver Hills and throughout New Haven, leading initiatives like the Friends of Goffe Street Park and organizing charitable events such as coat drives and holiday giveaways. Similarly, Rev. Marks' leadership has made an indelible impact, not only in New Haven but also nationally.

Despite this setback, the Marks family remains resilient and hopeful, inspiring others to keep going in tough times. Now, it's up to us to support them. Every bit of help, no matter how small, will make a difference in helping them rebuild and move forward. Let's show them that they're not alone in this journey.
