Hello all! My name is Danica and I am Amy’s best friend from college and nursing school. Back then we were both trying to get into the same microbiology lab, and we ended up lab partners and roommates. That was back in 1997! Awwwww!!!! If you are here, you likely know Amy has begun the cancer journey. Which is unfair and terrible and also filled with a ginormous amount of hope. I know what it is to be a bystander to someone else’s suffering, and to want to be able to help. We are setting up this Go Fund Me as a way for people to help. Cancer comes with many hidden costs, travel to and from appointments, missed work, coping with changed personal appearance (things like the proactive cooling cap therapy, or eyebrows), creating a healing space at home, and medical expenses including medications, lab work, scans, the list goes on. There will also be (and already has been) intangible costs, things like fatigue, and missed family experiences. I know Amy and Nate and the boys would be grateful for any help you can provide as they head down this stinking cancer road. Thank you for all the support you’ve already shown them. We love you Amy!!!
