Help Amy and Kyle Lucke start a family

A little bit about Amy and Kyle Lucke (in Amy's POV),

Life has not been good to us when it comes to starting a family. We got pregnant in 2020 very easily. I had a relatively easy pregnancy. I delivered a baby girl in March of 2021. Unfortunately, Adaline tragically passed away the day after she was born.

When we were cleared to start trying for our next baby, things proved to be much more difficult than we imagined. Fast forward to January of 2023 when I finally got to see a local fertility doctor. All of my testing came back normal except for my AMH. According to the doctor, I have less than a 1% chance of conceiving naturally. My ovarian reserve is almost non existent which means IVF was/is my only option.

Kyle and I knew IVF was not cheap and I was certain neither of our insurances covered it. This means every medical bill we would pay for out of pocket.

From January to June, Kyle and I saved some money and only told immediate family/some close friends what we were about to do. I did not want everyone knowing the struggle we were going through. Partially because Adaline's death was so public and partially because I did not want everyone knowing my business when this is such a personal battle.

June 16th, 2023 I had surgery to remove cysts in my ovaries (No I do not have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome). The surgery went well, my tubes were open and we were ready to begin the IVF meds. However, when our local fertility doctor sent us the bill - we scrambled because it was was way more than we expected.

After much consideration, Kyle and I chose to go outside the state for fertility treatments.

My timeline of IVF Round 1 was as follows:
  • Began IVF meds early September 2023
  • September 23rd 2023, had my first egg retrieval (6 eggs retrieved, 4 fertilized but only 2 made it to day 3 embryos)
  • September 26th 2023, I had my first fresh embryo transfer
  • Our first embryo transfer was a success but I lost the pregnancy at 5 weeks.
  • November 24th 2023, I had my second frozen embryo transfer.
  • Our second embryo transfer started really strong but ended in a miscarriage at 6.5-7 weeks pregnant a couple of days before Christmas

We are officially out of embryos from Round one.

We have lost one full term baby and also suffered two miscarriages within the last 4 months.

We are not ready to give up on our dreams to start a family yet. We used all our money on round 1 and do not have the financial backing for a round 2, round 3 let alone adoption if needed. We have officially exhausted all other resources. We are asking for any help that the community would like to give to help make our dreams come true.
