Amy Carter went from being a happy and healthy wife and mother of three boys, ages 3, 4 & 9, to loosing mobility of her entire body. Her heart has
stopped twice while at the hospital, she has stopped breathing in her sleep,
her face and eyes squelch constantly, the more she tries to speak the harder it becomes for words to come out of her mouth, and her memory is deteriorating. She has seen multiple doctor's, been in and out of the hospital, multiple tests, and still no diagnosis. As her condition worsens with no answers, her husband, children, and family are desperate for help. Financially, medically, and emotionally. Amy has to have round the clock care from family and friends while her husband works full time to pay the bills. He is the sole provider for his family now and in his line of work, there are no back up employees. He has no choice but to work or lose his job. The hours start as early as 3/4 am and the hours are long. Family and friends do help, but they also have families of there own. Amy's husband must work, take care of Amy who has lost muscle control in her entire body including those muscles that control her breathing, take care of the kids, all while trying to find a doctor, hospital, specialist, anyone who can save his wife's life. There insurance won't cover out of state care which she desperately needs. She was told to go to John Hopkins as that could be her only hope. Please help this family in need. Medical bills, monthly bills, kids daycare that the little ones need after headstart which gets out at 1:00. Amy is unable to care for her children so the family struggles to pay for child care on a daily basis until Carlos gets home from work. This family has more than enough stress, let's try to make it a little more easier. Every penny counts.
A huge thank you to Kim McDonald. In less than an hour, Kim had more research, resource's, and information for this family, possibly pointing them to the right doctor's than they have received in 7 months.
