Amy Compton 1/20/77 - 3/12/23
My best friend, soul sister, Amy Compton lost her battle to leukemia on Sunday March 12th 2023. She was diagnosed back in October of 2022. She went through many treatments and was said to be in remission. On Wednesday March 8th she had to be 911 to the hospital due to a rapid decline. She was sent home on Saturday March 11th with hospice care, she passed away the early morning on Sunday. She passed away peacefully in her own bed with her family and her dog Maddie by her side. It was a very quick process and she did not suffer.
Amy was a stroke survivor, she suffered a stroke in 2003 that left her paralyzed, the doctors said she would not survive it, she had a different idea. She did survive and lived a happy life with the help from her AuntDonna Baty who took care of her full-time.
She was the light of her family and she was the driving force that kept everyone together.
Amy was a survivor, warrior and an angel. Amy had the heart of gold and would help anyone in need.
Funds will be given directly to Donna to be used to help the family put her to rest.
Amy would donate to a variety of causes. She was always there to help in any way she could, even though she could not walk or get around her self she always made a way.
Please, find it in your hearts to help the family put this very special Angel to rest. She deserves the best, because she was the best.
Thank you in advance.
