Amy Cosentino’s fight against cancer
Donation protected
Hi! My name is Jessie Cosentino and I am fundraising for my amazing sister in law, Amy Cosentino. Amy is married to my big brother, Andy and together they have 2 beautiful kids. Their daughter, Aileen, who recently graduated high school at Lutheran High North and will be going to Saginaw Valley State University in the fall and their son, Aiden, who will be going into 8th grade at Romeo Middle School. Amy is a teacher at Graebner Elementary where she taught Kindergarten for several years and had her first group of 4th graders this school year!
Around the middle of April 2023, doctors discovered a mass on Amy’s brain which was later discovered to be a Glioblastoma. Amy has undergone surgery which removed a portion of the tumor and now she is going through chemotherapy and radiation.
Unfortunately, there is currently no cure for Glioblastoma. Amy and her family are exploring all options to treat this form of cancer.
Unfortunately, the surgery has impaired Amy’s vision to where she can no longer drive. But her greatest hardship due to the effects of the tumor, surgery and her treatment schedule is that she is unable to work.
As mentioned, this all only started at the end of April 2023 and has been moving incedibly fast. We are raising money to help cover both medical/trial costs and loss of income.
If you ever had Amy as a teacher, co-worker, friend or even acquaintance you know what a bright light and big ball of energy she is. We are all wishing Amy the best in her recovery. Any little donation will help so we can focus on Amy and her ongoing fight against cancer.
