Amy Dolley get her home habitable after a police stand off.

Amy Dolley was the victim of domestic violence on April 17th, 2024. She was able to leave her house and was brought to the hospital via ambulance to be inspected and released the following day. Thankfully, she sustained no major injuries. However, while she was at the hospital, her husband, alone in the house with only their two dogs, refused to comply with authorities, leading to a tense standoff involving state troopers and a SWAT team.

The standoff lasted several hours. The situation escalated as night fell, with law enforcement resorting to extreme measures. Both of Amy's vehicles parked in the driveway were moved with a tank and suffered significant damage. Both radiators were cracked, along with other damages, rendering them completely unusable. The tank also drove into the front porch, taking out the steps and pillars. Tear gas and flash bangs were launched through every window, in every room, multiple times, with many missing entirely and lodging in the side of the house. The house is now uninhabitable, covered in tear gas dust that requires specialized cleanup, with broken glass everywhere in every room, and exposed to the elements.

Despite the turmoil, Amy's priority remains her loved ones. Amy's dogs, though traumatized, were okay and safe but displaced. Her two daughters were both away at college but now have no home to come back to, no vehicle to drive to their summer job and internship, with both of their bedrooms and belongings completely covered in tear gas, and holes in their bedroom walls from the canisters and debris.

Compounding the situation, Amy's home insurance company is trying to deny any claim, and she only has liability insurance on one of the vehicles that was moved by a tank, leaving her with no recourse for the extensive damage to her home and vehicles. She has no idea how long she will have to piece together and pay for places to stay, nor how long it will take to get a professional cleaning crew to remove the tear gas dust so that she can begin repairing windows and doors. For now, all she could do was tarp all openings to prevent further damage from the elements and hope for the best.

Amy's husband is now in jail awaiting justice. She had been the sole provider for some time, paying for both vehicles, all bills, and the mortgage on a now uninhabitable home. Your contribution will provide Amy and her family with a lifeline during this difficult time. Funds raised will help cover essential expenses such as temporary housing, professional cleaning services, repairs, and legal fees. Every donation, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference in helping Amy rebuild her life and provide stability for her and her children.

Please join us in rallying around Amy and her family. Your generosity and compassion will be deeply appreciated as they navigate this challenging journey.

Thank you for your kindness and support.
