Ease the financial burden of the Flint Family

How quickly & easily a little family’s world can be turned upside down. As most of you may be aware Amy flew to Brisbane for a routine specialist visit last week & landed herself in Royal Brisbane Hospital in the Coronary Care Unit with a complete heart blockage. Classified as a medical emergency!

Although Amy had her beautiful Mum, Deidre with her she had to return home to help care for Mila & Elijah so Dan could continue working. Unfortunately the necessity of a single income family.

Amy with just her handbag & clothes on her back remains in Brisbane on her own undergoing multiple testing with the outcome being the insertion of a heart pacemaker in the coming days. How scary & overwhelming to have to face this alone.

And if that is not enough in her absence her gorgeous boy Elijah has become extremely unwell, with at this point an unknown condition & is also admitted to Rockhampton Base Hospital undergoing tests & treatment.

Dan & Deidre are turn taking to be at Elijah’s side while also providing love & care for beautiful little Mila.

This family would never ask for help but are the first to provide love & support to anyone else who may need it in tough times. Like most of us we wish there is something we could do to help & I believe easing the financial burden would be a small way of doing just that.

My name is Sally & I have known this beautiful humble family for many years. I have provided Deidre’s (Amy’s Mums) details & she will distribute the funds.

*UPDATE*

Amy has asked me to do a little update. She is still undergoing lots of testing including at PET scan before a decision is made on the next steps for her regarding the pacemaker insertion

Elijah now has an official diagnosis of Meningitis & Pneumonia of his right lung. Although now being treated on the correct medication his rash is starting to fade & is looking a lot brighter he will remain in hospital for a little while longer & then remain on medication for the weeks to follow.
