Amy Hoffman lost the love of her life
Donation protected
On May 11th Amy Hoffman lost the love of her life, her husband Nick who was only 57 years old. We are reaching out to friends and family for support as we navigate this sudden and unexpected heartbreak. Nick and Amy were at home with their two dogs having a relaxing morning drinking coffee, watching tv, and chatting about their plans for the coming weekend. Nothing was out of the ordinary. When Amy got out of the shower, Nick was unresponsive on the couch. Despite Amy’s amazingly courageous and fast-acting attempts to perform life-saving measures on her best friend and husband, these efforts were unsuccessful. In a split second, her life was tragically changed.

Since many of you are asking how you can help or what you can do to support her, we created this GoFundMe account. Amy has a lot on her plate as she begins to navigate this unexpected and dreadful loss. Unfortunately, FMLA is unpaid leave, therefore, we would like to support Amy with the gift of extended bereavement leave from work as well as additional funds to help pay the bills. Coping with this tragedy is difficult enough and we would like to reduce some of the financial worries that are weighing on her right now as she adjusts to becoming a one-income household.
Amy wants you to know that she appreciates those of you who have reached out, sent meals, helped with chores around the house, spent time with her (crying and laughing as memories are shared), and continue to keep her in your thoughts during this time of overwhelming pain and grief.
Please share this link and contribute as you can.
We appreciate all of you for your love and support.
