Amy’s Fight To Be Fistula Free in India
Donation protected
My precious sister-in-law, Amy (Squires) Wells, needs medical help. After exhaustive research, she has chosen to go to India for the best and, by far, most successful treatment available. This requires staying in Bangalore/Bengaluru India for 3.5 months! They arrive in Bengaluru January 25th and her first visit to the clinic is Monday, Jan 27th.
Never heard of a fistula? Me neither! What is the condition? It’s a complex disease that has a high rate of recurrence and further complications if not properly treated. Doctors in India have been using a surgical intervention for centuries, called ksharasutra, that has a low rate of complications and an excellent success rate.
How has it personally affected Amy? She has been dealing with the disease on her own for 1 1/2 years. Recently it got much worse, causing debilitating pain and requiring emergency surgery. This surgery only addressed an acute complication but did not do anything for the disease. If left untreated, it can lead to life-threatening complications.
Everyone who knows Timothy and Amy are aware they have always lived a life of self-sacrifice and simplicity. They are giving of their time and energy to help others spiritually, emotionally, and physically. Now we can do a little to show our appreciation and support for them by donating to cover expenses of medical care, travel, food, and time away from work. 100% of donations will go directly to them, and they will then use the funds as needed. Thank you!
