Amy Rainwater
On July 13, 2021 the world lost one of the brightest souls. Amy fought a long battle and she is now finally resting, free from all her pain and suffering.
Amy was one of a kind. A bright light in a world of darkness. A friend in a time of need. Always giving so much of herself to make the rest of us feel safe and loved. Amy was always there touching people’s hearts in ways that would last with them for a lifetime.
It is heartbreaking knowing she leaves behind her daughter, Vilah. We need to rally around this tiny soul. Protect and guide her through the long road ahead. Because that’s what Amy would have wanted. Vilah is the light Amy left for us.
My only wish is that we remember all of her. Her quick wit and sarcasm. The way she could make a song out of anything. Her hugs; the ones where she would squeeze your butt. The voices she would make. Her love for music and iced coffee. The way she made sure to say I love you every single time she said goodbye. All the little things that made Amy who she was.
I know Amy was never the one to ask for help, but I’m asking all of you to come together for her so we can give her the celebration she deserves. To give Amy all the love and light she gave to all of us. Any remaining proceeds, I will put into an account for Vilah to give her the future Amy envisioned for her daughter.
If there’s anything you do for Amy, speak of her often. Laugh when you tell her stories. Always keep her memory alive.
(I, Sasha Abdon (Sasha Rainwater), sister of Amy Rainwater, have created this fundraiser to raise money for Amy’s celebration of life. Any remaining proceeds will be put into a savings account at Navy Federal Credit Union for her daughter, Vilah Wheaton. Vilah will be added as a beneficiary to the savings account should anything happen to me before she turns 18. In the event that I do pass away, Vilah would have immediate access to the savings account.)
