Amy Reecer's Breast Cancer Journey

Amy was diagnosed with breast cancer in October 2021. Amy had surgery to remove the cancer, and her body responded well to treatment. Back in June 2023, Amy received the call she was not expecting - she has a reoccurrence. Although Amy has health insurance, she faces large, unexpected medical bills.

Did you know that 51% of cancer patients and survivors report incurring medical debt as a result of the costs of their cancer care. The debt is often carried for years with significant impacts, including 53% of debt-holders facing collections and 46% seeing their credit score negatively impacted. *
