Amy Whitlock's Memorial Fund

In late August Amy was worried about a lump under her breast that was increasing in size. Amy always had a tendency to not overthink things medically related as she never suffered from any serious issues in her health, so this lump didn't seem serious but was advised to get it checked out at the hospital to be safe. The first week of September she found out that the lump was in fact cancerous, and it had already metastasized in the liver at stage 4. During her hospital stay, she fell into numerous comas and had multiple kidney infections as well as full overall eventual organ failure. She passed peacefully in her sleep in late October.

We are raising money to help the family through the grieving process as well as giving security to the loved ones Amy left behind, and to ensure she gets the memorial that she deserves.

Over the last few months, Nicholas and I have been asked to start a Gofundme to help with the costs by our numerous friends and family members, and it is one of the hardest things that we will ever type in our lives moving forward. Our mother was our friend, our confidant, our defender as well as our most loved family member.

Amy was an artist, a singer, an actor, a sculptor, a gamer, a lover, a dog trainer, a friend, and of course a mother. There wasn't a skill that Amy wasn't able to master given a little time, or a kid she didn't take under her wing to provide them with love as an adoptive parent. Amy provided those with love when they most needed it and taught valuable lessons when they most deserved it. Amy's dream was to be a dog trainer, she was certified through the board of education in New York and was accredited for the amazing accomplishments that she achieved.

Amy loved everyone she ever touched in her life, giving as much as she could to help.
