Hi everyone,
my name is Haley and my best friend of over a decade is in need of help. Amy, was diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension at 28 years old. Her and her wife Des were devastated by this news. As a loved one becomes sick we all know we want to be around and help as much as possible. Des has taken the responsibility of helping Amy with every day needs and helping her with her very strict and time sensitive medication she needs. Any and Des are Financially struggling due to the fact Des can’t work as Des Is Amy’s only caretaker. I’m asking everyone to help take some of the burden off of them and donate even if it’s just a little to help them.
On July 10, Amy has to have a PICC line permanently placed to help provide the medication to her heart to help her survive.
as the doctors have told her that the outcome of developing pulmonary hypertension is very rare and very uncommon in her age. It it very life threatening and needs to be on medication 24/7 for the rest of her life.
With having Pulmonary Hypertension other medical problems can come, the doctors have expressed concerned for her lungs failing and her kidneys at this time. As we get updates we will update every one as we go on.
Amy has such a strong, beautiful and bright positive attitude over this and even on her lowest days she fights to make sure she’s proving the outcome wrong.
Amy is a fighter and has faced many battles in her life and she will continue to fight to be the 2% that comes out on top of this.
