Help Honey County 's Friends Amy & Dr. John Ravera

Donation protected
From Dani & Sofie of Honey County ,

We met Amy Ravera and her best friend Lorie at one of our shows. Lorie later told us that Amy very seldom left her house and was working overtime caring for her boys and husband, John, who was recently involved in a terrible motorcycle accident. We asked if we could surprise Amy by putting on an acoustic performance at her house and bring the music to her! Lorie was quick to set it up and we were blessed by meeting them.

We were so moved by Amy and John Ravera's story and, after learning more about their situation, we asked if we could create this page to offer them some relief. Our goal is to raise $5,000 to help superhero mom Amy continue to take care of her precious family. Both her and John are truly an inspiration to us and we would love to help them get the care they both need and deserve. This is their story:

On March 20, 2020, John was involved in a tragic motorcycle accident. He was riding in Anzo Borrego Desert, had just come off a trail onto the two lane highway, when another driver made an illegal U-turn (CHP later confirmed that John had the "right of way") and caused John to T-bone him. Luckily, John's friend who was riding with him was able to call 911 and he was sent in an ambulance to the small nearby airport to be Airlifted to Palomar Medical Center in Escondido.

Over the last year, John has been and continues to be treated for a traumatic brain injury, suffered multiple infections and medical complications along the way. Luckily, he is still with us, awake and recovering. After a year of hospitalization, John has finally been released and is home, but continues to have mobility and care needs and, of course, the expenses that accompany those. John is a highly respected dentist in Newport Beach and due to his accident, he lost his practice. This left the financial burden of their household, John's medical needs and their three sons solely on Amy.

Immediate needs are in-home nurses to help with his feeing tube, tracheostomy, etc. and rehabilitation equipment. We know these are hard and trying times for everyone and appreciate whatever donation you are able to make. Even if it is just $1... every little bit will help this sweet family in a huge way!

THANK YOU!!!
