Hello,My name is Amber EasleySmith My daughter A’Myra EasleySmith was hit by a car on May 19th in Lancaster,Ohio by a careless driver who blew through a stop light She was pronounced dead at the scene but they was able to resuscitate her (She was hit by an suv) She was in critical condition and we was told she wouldn’t make it through the first 24 hours We with Gods blessing she did We was then told she wouldn’t make it through the first 3-5 days Well again by the grace of God she did She has a injury to here spinal cord which has left her paralyzed She has an injury to her brain to where she can’t get signals from the bottom of her brain to the top of her brain as well She is on a ventilator that is doing all her breathing for her She is also blind She is facing 3 surgeries next week One for a tracheostomy that will go in her neck since she isn’t doing any breathing on her own Second one for a more permanent feeding tube (this is also the tube we will give her medication through Third surgery is to infuse her neck/spin there going to put screws and rods in her neck due to her spinal cord injury A’Myra can not hold her own head up This has not by any means been an easy road I’m asking for help for our baby because one she deserves it and so much more This man took my babies life from her that day no matter which way you look at it A’Myra is a very outgoing smart loving and caring little girl She licks her lips 100 times before she gives you a kiss She loves everybody and is loved by so many people The day she got hit she was picking me flowers as she does every day they crossed the street right here by my house at the cross walk (ymca) it was her my 13 year old daughter My 9 year old daughter and my 13 year old daughters 13 year old friend to pick me more flowers do you know that A’Myra still through all that being hit and hit as hard as she was had the flowers in her hand a lady took them out her hand and brought them to me My kids did everything that day by the book you guys my baby did nothing to deserve this nothing She was about to step up on the sidewalk when she was hit The plan is to bring A’Myra home as we will never give up on any of our children but A’Myra has a long very long road ahead of her and will need a lot of things to make this all possible On top of that I can’t work me or my husband ever
again as it will take 2 people at ALL times to take care of her We have 5 other children as well ages 13,11,9 A’Myra 7,4,3 We truly need all the help we can get A’Myra will need her own room and it will have to be set up like a hospital room the hospital told us We have to move due to where we live is not safe or sanitary enough for her to be at Keep in mind she has a very weak immune system She will need everything down to pillows We have to log roll her every 2 hours so she don’t get bed sores as she can’t move herself like we can It’s just a lot but we are in this fight together If you can anything helps As also we are struggling with everyday needs as in gas to get back and forth from Lancaster to Columbus as 5 of our children are in Lancaster and A’Myra in the hospital It’s just so hard If you can donate please do anything helps This literally has cost us everything but like I said we are in this fight together and refuse to give up If you can’t donate that’s okay just please share this and PLEASE pray for our baby May God bless you and your family and Thank you for your time #AmyraStrong #AmyrasArmy #AmyrasMommy
