Cancer expenses for Amy
Donation protected
On Dec 9th, Amy's doctor put her on antibiotics for a sore throat and ears. After 10 days and not feeling better, she put Amy on another round; however, two days in she was having a hard time speaking and swallowing. She recommended Amy go to the ER. After a CT scan and a biopsy, on Dec 23rd, Amy was given the diagnosis of Large B-cell Lymphoma.
Then on Jan 5th, Amy had a biopsy of a tumor. It came back as stage 3 thick Melanoma.
Amy have had PET scan, MRI and multiple biopsies, including a bone marrow biopsy. Those expenses are starting to come in and are a little daunting.
The treatment for Lymphoma is chemo and radiation. The treatment for Melanoma is surgery and immunotherapy. Unfortunately she is like the perfect storm because of this thing in her throat. Both cancers are aggressive. In order to do surgery the thing in her throat has to be gone, but that will take at least three courses of chemo. Each course is three weeks. They are not sure which to treat first.
She is currently working at home and hopes to continue during the chemo treatments. However
when she has surgery for the melanoma, and with her having diabetes it complicates recovery. This is when she maybe out indefinitely.
Any funds will be used for medical bills, prescriptions, gas and food. Your love, prayers and giving are truly appreciated.
A meal train will be setup once Amy has surgery.
Thank you all of your support
Sincerely,
Valerie Burrows and Amy's Family
